If you want to supply data to the Applications Matrix then use the online submissions form.
A few comments:
We are looking for the end-to-end performance of real science and engineering codes on real machines. We are NOT looking for the performance of kernels or specially crafted pieces of code designed to exercise a machine.
We hope the required field are self-explanatory; however, if you have questions please contact Ron Winther at winther@krellinst.org
We are attempting to get data from a wide variety of science and engineering applications, so organizing the information presents some challenges. We expect that there will be some evolution of the applications areas and subareas as we gather more data. Please try to use the applications areas list recognizing that there is room for additional categories. Comments and suggestions about applications areas are welcome.
It is particularly important that a reference be provided for the reported code. A published paper available online, an online preprint or an online technical report would be ideal. If you do not have a report available online please send along (to winther@krellinst.org) an electronic version of the reference and we will serve it from here.
We realize that there are many ways of communicating the performance of codes. Please note that there is room on the submission form for a submitter to specify a science-based metric. Examples of this would be the number of years of climate computed in a day of computer time or the average clock time per time step in a multi-particle computation.
If you do quote a science-based metric please give its meaning clearly.
Once data has been submitted we will check back with the submitter and resolve any questions or issues. Every few weeks the information available in the applications matrix will be updated for public use.
